Be Creative @ Your Library

Be creative at the Bethesda Public Library this summer! Join library staff to experience all the different ways families can have fun, new experiences through books. Special performers will spark our communities' creative juices with music, magic, and more. Story times and a variety of crafts are planned to keep youth interested in reading this summer. Be sure to include the library in your summer plans to prevent summer reading set-backs by school aged children who can loose up to 3 months of grade-level equivalency during summer break. Summer Reading Program Schedule of Events

Story Times @ Bethesda

Toddler Time, for children 18-36 months, is held every Tuesday during the school year at 10:30 am.
Preschool Story Time, for 3 and 4 year olds, is held every Wednesday during the school year at 10:30 am. No registration is reqired for either group.

Snuggle Bug Club, a lapsit story time for parents and caregivers with newborns and infants up to 18 months of age, is held monthly. The next meeting is Friday, July 17 .

Book Clubs @ Bethesda

The Bethesda Book Club for adults will meet on Thursday, July 2 at 6:30 pm to discuss Interred with their Bones by Jennifer Lee Carrell.

Friends of the Bethesda Library

The Bethesda Library is thankful for our wonderful Friends of the Library group! This active group of library supporters has provided funds for books, DVD’s, children’s performers, and many other much-needed items. The Friends group meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm. See the Friends page for more information and a membership application.

TWRA Boating Exam

The Bethesda Library offers proctoring of the TWRA Boating Exam. Please call for an appointment to be sure that a certified proctor will be available.
