The Friends of Bethesda Library was organized in 2004 to promote and support the Bethesda branch. This group meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. In the past, the Friends have sponsored Craft and Flea Markets, a poinsettia sale, and book sales to raise funds for children's performers, special programs, and library materials. On Saturday, May 3 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, the Friends will sponsor a Book and Plant Sale in the cafeteria of the Bethesda Recreation Center. New members are always welcome!
