Local Author Ross E. Hudgins

Hudgins will give a presentation about his new book Maggie: the Civil War Journals of Margaret N. Vaulx. Vaulx was a young Nashville resident who recorded her first-hand perspective of the war in a series of journals. Hudgins will sign copies of the book, which will be available for sale.

Storytimes @ Fairview

We offer Toddler Time for children ages 18 – 35 months, each Tuesday at 10:00 am during the school year. The program includes repetitive rhymes, finger plays, books, and color sheets for the little ones. Tuesday, Feb. 14 – Valentine Program and ExchangesPreschool Storytime, for children ages three to five years, is held on Wednesdays at 10:00 am. Join us for books, crafts, nursery rhymes and specific authors each month.

Book Clubs @ Fairview

The Fairview Book Club for adults will meet on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 5:30 pm to discuss another good book.

The Avid Readers Book Club will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 1:00 pm to discuss the books that individual members have read during the past month. New members are always welcome to both groups. Call 224-6087 or email the Library for more information.

The Homeschoolers' Book Club will meet every Wednesday (unless noted) at 10:00 am. For grades K – 6. Register by email to marisawissman@gmail.com. Include the names and ages of children who will join the club, and their interests and reading abilities/needs.




Friends of Fairview Library

The Friends of the Fairview Library group will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 1:00 pm at the Library.




Tax Forms

Income Tax forms are available at the Fairview Public Library. Volunteers from VITA will be available for filing assistance on a walk-in basis on Thursdays from 2:00 – 6:00 pm, and Saturdays from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Call the Library at 224-6087 for more information.




TWRA Boating Exam

The Fairview Library offers proctoring of the TWRA Boating Exam. Please call for an appointment to be sure that a certified proctor will be available.
