Children's Activities

Story Time
Every Wednesday at 10:00 am
     [Story time runs on the school schedule when the weather causes the schools to close.]

The Fairview Public Library would like to invite you to participate in Story Time. All families and children are welcome. Each Wednesday beginning at 10 a.m. we will share books, celebrate special holidays, sing songs and make cool crafts. Parent participation is encouraged. Story Time theme for May is "Starship Adventure @ Your Library", which is also the theme of the Summer Reading Program. Story times on May 7, 14 and 21 will focus on preparation for the Summer Reading Program. We will learn "Five Little Astronauts," the poem for May, together.

 


Children's Summer Reading Program

Get ready for a fun summer! "Starship Adventure @ Your Library" is coming to the Fairview Public Library. From May 27 through July 5 there will be performers, prizes, and lots of reading. See the full schedule of events. Registration begins on Tuesday, May 27.


Children's Book Week

Children's Book Week is May 12-18. To celebrate, be sure to read to your children every day.


Ronald McDonald

Ronald McDonald will be at the Fairview Library on Wednesday, May 28 at 10:00 am for a fun story time program.

Book Clubs at the Library

The Fairview Book Club will meet Tuesday, May 6 at 6:00 pm to discuss Run by Ann Patchett.

The Avid Readers Book Club will meet Wednesday, May 28 at 1:00 p.m. Each member chooses a different book for discussion. Visitors and new members are welcome to both groups.

Fairview Public Library Writing Group

The Fairview Public Library Writing Group will meet Tuesdays May 6 and 20 at 6:00 pm to discuss their creative writing experiences and marketing resources. New members are welcome.

Computer Class

An Introduction to Microsoft Word class will be held at the Library on Friday, May 16 at 10:00 am. Register at the Library. Class size is limited to 5 participants.

TWRA Boating Exam

The Fairview Library offers proctoring of the TWRA Boating Exam Tuesday-Saturday from 9-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. Please call for an appointment to be sure that a certified proctor will be available.


Friends of the Fairview Public Library

The Friends Group existed for many years and is currently regrouping. Their first activity was a book sale held in April at the Library.The Friends plan to use the proceeds from this very successful sale to help support this year's Summer Reading Program. Voter Registration

Mail-in Voter Registration forms are available at all branches of the
Williamson County Public Library System.
