The Friends of the Fairview Public Library existed for many years and is currently regrouping. The first activity will be a book sale at the Library Thursday through Saturday, April 24-26 during regular library hours. The Friends plan to use the proceeds from the Book Sale to help support this year's Summer Reading Program. Donations for the Book Sale are currently being accepted. Please consider donating books, videos, and DVDs in good condition. Magazines and encyclopedias older than 10 years cannot be accepted.
The Friends is an all-volunteer organization. You can contribute not only by paying annual dues, but also by giving your time and energy to assist with fundraising efforts and work in the library. If you are interested in joining the Friends, call Gerry Stark at 799-0267, or contact the Library at 799-0235 for more information.
