Internet access:

• Click on Online Catalog to find the item information. 
• Display the items, copy information. 
• Click on the "Request" button located in the top right-hand corner of the screen, then enter patron name and library card barcode. 
• Select the pick up location and click on "submit the information."

Modem access:

• Dial 595-1273.
• If using Hyper Terminal a white box will open, press ENTER.
• The login prompt displays, type GUEST
• Conduct a search by author, title, or word for the desired title.
• Open that TITLE’S RECORD.
• Type G "REQUEST AN ITEM"
• Press the SPACE bar.
• Type your NAME
• Type your patron BARCODE number.
• Select the PICKUP LOCATION by typing the line number.
• Type special instructions if desired.
• Press the ENTER KEY
• You will be notified by telephone or mail when the item is available for pickup.

Patrons may request up to 4 items at any one time, and they will be notified by telephone or by mail when their item or items are available. .

"We are expanding service to our patrons through the use of computer technology," said Keck.

"In conjunction with our courier services, patron generated holds will make our collection even more accessible throughout the County," she added.
