Preparation for Computer Classes

Participants need to be familiar with the keyboard, have some experience using the mouse, know how to open and close a program, and how to find and use the menu and scroll bars.   A mouse tutorial is available for public use at the library.  In addition, there are several websites available that offer instruction on the use of a mouse and keyboard.

From Michigan's Library Network Cooperative: New User Tutorial
From California's Palm Beach County Library System: Mousing Around
Mousercise

In addition, these tutorials are also available in Spanish by clicking on the word "Español" in the top right corner of the first page of each lesson.  If the Spanish text does not immediately appear or if your receive an page error, click on the "Refresh" button located in the horizontal toolbar at the top of your screen.
