Computer Appointments
Also available at the Main Library are individualized computer appointments.
The appointments are 30 minute tutorial sessions in which a staff member will offer computer assistance
customized to fit your library resource needs. This service is ideal for creating an email account,
learning to use the mouse and keyboard, managing and maximizing your library account,
electronic library resource tutorials and intermediate level questions about Microsoft Office programs.
The service is free – all that you will need to participate is a Williamson County Public Library card.
The appointments are offered two Friday mornings and one evening per month. Please call the Reference
Department at 615-595-1243 to find out more or to schedule an appointment for computer assistance.
Preparation:
Participants need to be familiar with the keyboard, have some experience using the mouse, know how to open and close a program, and how to find and use the menu and scroll bars. A mouse tutorial is available for public use at the library. In addition, there are several websites available that offer instruction on the use of a mouse and keyboard.
